Packaging Excess (October 2006)

A little item gets a lot of packaging.

Dick buys a 1GB Secure Digital Card by mail. It's a thumbnail sized card and weighs close to nothing.

Then it gets a carrying case.

It and its carrying case go into a blister pack.

And the blister pack, plus additional air bags...

...were shipped in this large cardboard box.

All of that...
